Polishing

Polishing is the second step towards a high-gloss surface in a three-step polishing process. Once pre-polishing has removed defects and deep scratches from the surface of the workpiece, the next step is to remove all machining marks and other traces of the pre-polishing process and to further level the surface.

For this purpose, softer polishing discs made of cotton or non-woven material are used, whereas sisal or sisal/cotton is mainly used for pre-polishing.

Important: Polishing is always carried out with polishing paste. Polishing requires a polishing paste that is suitable for this stage of the process and must also be suitable for the material of the workpiece to be treated.
