Colouring is the third and final step in a 3-step polishing process. Here, a high-gloss surface is created.
Colouring is the third and final step on the way to a high-gloss surface in a three-stage polishing process. During polishing, any cut marks and other traces from the pre-polishing process have already been removed and the surface has been levelled. Now the task is to give the surface a high gloss.
Very soft polishing rings are used for this. Often non woven cloths are used, such as Osborn Notiflex non woven. Here mostly in the hardness grade "soft".
Important: Polishing is always done with polishing compound. Colouring requires a polishing compound that is suitable for this work step and must also be matched to the material of the workpiece.
